[ every day, ganyu's schedule is packed. from meetings, to checking in on the merchants, settling disputes... day after day, hour after hour, she simply shuffles from one task to the next with a calm smile on her face and a nod of hello to everyone who passes by.
whenever she can manage some time to herself, she finds herself out of liyue's gates to the vast fields for a good nap. is snoozing where any monster could just drop by and attack her a good idea? no. will she do it anyway? yes. it's fine.
it's one of those moments, where she's wandering around in search for a restful spot. she remembers that there was a large tree that gave amazings shade with a decent view, and she's on the hunt for it. maybe she'll bump into someone new. who knows! ]
[ And on the contrary, Ori rarely finds herself within the gates of Liyue Harbor. She spends most of her days either in a modest abode tucked away in the stony peaks that characterize the landscape of Liyue or wandering the lands for medicinal herbs - a task that occasionally does bring her to Bubu Pharmacy - all in the name of watching over and protecting weary or hurt travelers. The duty entrusted to her has been all that she has known throughout her life, and given the lifestyle it entails, she's only very rarely met others of her kind. And though she's always been friendly with the travelers she helps, they're exactly that - travelers, and their time together is always so fleeting.
... All this to say, Ori doesn't really have friends. Instead, she befriends flora and fauna, like this large tree that gives amazing shade with a decent view, which is why she's currently sitting beneath said tree with a hand resting on one of its roots, quietly humming to herself. ]
ganyu pauses, seeing someone else at the tree. there is a moment where she debates on finding a different spot to not bother the person, but then she does a quick mental calculation of how much time she has before she needs to go back to work.
... and decides it is not worth looking. so instead, ganyu will just approach instead. ]
[ Ori isn't accustomed to being casually approached; usually, she's the one doing the approaching to help people, or travelers seek her out for assistance. She's startled when someone greets her and her head snaps up to find— Ganyu, the emissary to the Liyue Qixing standing before her. Immediately, she scrambles to stand up and quickly bow her head at Ganyu in greeting. ]
G—Good afternoon! Yes, I was quite comfortable, but—!
[ Ganyu gets a few slow blinks from Ori in response, like she can hardly believe that someone like Ganyu wants to join her randomly? ]

[ She, of course, knows that the emissary to the Qixing must have quite the schedule, so Ori steps back and gestures for Ganyu to take a spot - a break like this must be incredibly rare to come by. ]

[ She watches Ganyu take her seat curiously; she's never had much interaction with other adepti, let alone those who are more intimately involved with the affairs of Liyue Harbor. ]

[ Ori nods enthusiastically. Despite knowing that she is one, by nature, she sometimes struggles to call herself an adeptus; the label carries with it so much weight and gravitas and commands such respect that she can hardly believe she would deserve. ]
