[ Finé wouldn't want Izetta to use her magic for this. If they can solve this without magic, they should. Her magic isn't inexhaustible and neither is Izetta. That's something she thinks about often—how to lessen the huge burden that she's taken up by becoming the new White Witch. ]

If we're careful with how we spread it, it should be manageable. A small pile in front of the wagons, perhaps.

[ They'd have to congregate there instead of multiple spots along a trail. That might work better, but it's not like she's worked with chickens often to know their behavior. ]

[ Birds of a feather flock together. Surely, no other animal that eats grain or seed can sense food and join the fray.

An archduchess collecting chicken feed is an everyday occurrence. No chicken farmer should look in her direction and recognize her even though she's not wearing her incognito clothing. (She's lucky enough they're all too busy with their backs turned to her.)
