[ it's funny, how fast time can go by when you aren't paying attention.
it's the problem with trying to do things by the moment, instead of focusing on what the future might bring. when you put all of yourself into what's happening right now, and who you're surrounded by right now, instead of thinking ahead a year or two. and the thing is, until now, it's always worked? kumiko's focus has always been on the band, and how to get by each stage that they're facing, and whatever happens after will have to be faced once they reach that hurdle. and it's worked.
but now they're on their third year, and she's realizing that she has a little less time on her hands than she initially thought. in the classroom are conversations about exams, and universities, and how third years are going to have to retire from their clubs soon to focus on their studies and it's all so much at once and she isn't entirely sure where her attention should be anymore.
so she decides to focus it on the easiest answer-- reina. they haven't been able to spend as much time together, just the two of them, so kumiko invites her over for the weekend. they won't be completely alone because of her family, but in the comfort of her bedroom, it can kind of feel like it's just them. it'll be nice.
when they walk in, kumiko holds the door open for reina, and lets out a tired, ]
We're home.
